Metro NY is running a poll of various cover versions of MGMT’s Kids. It says of Matt’s version:
Matt Hires actually nails it. His whistle is an obvious choice, but one that must not have occurred to any of the other coverers, and his voice is perfect for the melody and his jumpy strum is a welcome variation.
The poll has actually been up for a few weeks, and Matt is running away with it… Nonetheless, I remember another poll not too long ago that we thought was in the bag until the very last moment when we were out fantarded. So go vote!
