This is from this past Sunday when I went to see Matt in Richmond. The entire set is up on my youtube channel. I’m so not used to being 17 rows away from the stage, so all the traffic between me and my camera was irksome. But it was cool because it just means that many more people were getting to know Matt’s music, and the audience was totally getting into it.
Thanks to our friend, faith, for recording Matt performing in Gainesville yesterday evening (more like early this morning). Here are some of his new songs. Enjoy!
Watch buzzworthy next week for this song to appear:
Matt performed a song for his mom at the Orlando show last night… So sweet. And also SWEET! New stuff for us who have not heard it… I do not know the name of this one. I don’t know if it’s a new new song, or just a new to me song. I’m going to call it either Lovers in Broke Down Cars* until I learn otherwise. (Hey, I was right about Rock n Roll Heart so I’m batting 1000 so far.) What do you think it should be called?
*UPDATE: I went straight to the source and found out the name of this song is “Wishing on Dead Stars”. Awesome! But now I’m batting 500.
I wish there was more video of this – especially since this cuts off just as Chris starts to shred it, but I’m glad that at least *something* was posted. How much fun is this Buddy Holly cover?
Matt added this delightful cover of The Beatles “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away” to his setlist on opening night of the State Lines Tour Part 2 in Orlando last night.
